"Meet Me on the Runway"

For our Wednesday evenings in July we have Summer Family Fellowship at our church. This summer we decided to have a series of "Meet Me at the .....". Last night was "Meet me at the Runway" where we gathered at the very small Hendersonville airport and had picnic dinners and plane rides courtesy of Nathan Brinkerhoff. Nathan is a pilot preparing to go to the mission field in South America. Here are a few pictures of our kids getting ready for their rides with their friends Mary Walton and Elizabeth Wolfe.

Notice Jacob's covered ears! He was very excited to get to ride in the front seat with Mr. Brinkerhoff. We are often reminded of a 2 year olds very literal world. On the way home from the airport we were talking about the rides and something came up about our friend Edward also getting to sit in the front seat. I mentioned that I had bumped him out of the list initially since he had ridden in the past. Jacob very quickly said that he didn't get bumped out, he had his seat belt on and Mr. Brinkerhoff closed the door!
